Application Information for Transfer ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

A step-by-step guide for those wishing to transfer from their current institution to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, including documentation, transcripts and more that will need to be supplied and a direct link to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Application Portal.

If you are considering transferring to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, you must submit the following:

  • Application and $30.00 Application Fee (learn more, below)
  • Official transcripts from each college attended (if the applicant is currently enrolled, one transcript must be submitted at the time of application and a final transcript at the completion of the term)
    • An official transcript is an unopened, stamped transcript or an electronic transcript sent directly from the institution.
  • 24 hours of transferrable credit, at least 12 of which are in the declared degree program (or meet freshman entry requirements)
  • Submit proof of MMR vaccination (measles, mumps and rubella)

Transfer Partnerships and Equivalencies

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú has partnerships with various community colleges in Alabama and Mississippi. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú wishing to self-evaluate coursework taken at a partner institution may use the transfer equivalency guides found here.

Transfer of Credit Policy

Transfer credit evaluations are conducted in the Office of the Registrar. The evaluation process begins after a student is admitted as a degree seeking student to the university or has completed the reactivation process with the Office of Registration and Records if a returning ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú student. 

Transfer Scholarships

Quality and price are two important considerations when you decide where you want to transfer. At the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, one of Alabama’s oldest and most prestigious universities, you can save even more on your degree with our various scholarship offerings.

To apply for transfer scholarships from the Admissions Office, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú applicants should fill out the (you will need your ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú username and password).

*In the event you qualify for more than one of the above scholarships, you will be awarded the one for the larger amount. Transfer scholarships may be stacked with other ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú scholarships.

Partner Institutions

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is paving the way for transfer students to matriculate seamlessly to our campus as they pursue their bachelor’s degree and beyond. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú has partnerships with Alabama and Mississippi community colleges, with more expected soon. Each agreement allows ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú and the partner school to have a clearly defined transfer process and enhanced communication with students regarding their transfer from the community college to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. This includes academic advising and scholarship opportunities.

Benefits of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Community College Partnerships include:

  • Guaranteed admission to community college students with a 2.0 GPA and 45 transferable credit hours or completion of their associate degree.
  • Pre-transfer advising from the community college as well as ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú
  • Academic Scholarships dedicated to community college students with a 3.0 or better GPA ($3,000.00-$4,000.00 per year, renewable for up to 4 consecutive semesters)
  • $2,000.00 1st year, campus housing scholarship for student recipients of academic scholarships
