During Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 26, the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú announced its 2024 Homecoming Queen, Chloe Baker of Tuscaloosa. Baker and the Homecoming Queen’s court were nominated and elected by the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú student body.
The queen was announced and crowned on the field during halftime festivities at the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú vs. Chowan game on Saturday. Baker was crowned by 2023 Homecoming Queen, Shelby Baggett, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú President Ken Tucker and SGA President Adonis Williams.

The 2024 Homecoming court includes:
Chloe Baker, a senior from Tuscaloosa, Ala., is a member of the homecoming court. An elementary education major, Baker is a graduate of American Christian Academy and in her fourth year as a member of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú cheer team, where she is member of the football, basketball and competition squads. She is also a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, where she has served in numerous positions including the sisterhood chairwoman and membership director.
Caroline Sparkman, a criminal justice major, is the freshman maid from Livingston, Alabama. She is a graduate of the University Charter School and a member of Phi Mu.
Elyse Dean, a mathematics major with a minor in ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Teach, is the sophomore maid. From Reform, Ala., she is a graduate of Pickens Academy and a member of Alpha Sigma Tau, where she serves as the Vice President of Finance. A ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Ambassador and orientation leader, Dean is also the Majorette Captain for the West Alabama Marching Band, a member of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Cheer Team, and participates on the basketball and competition squads. She has also made the President’s List every semester during her time at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
Madelyn Brasher, a junior from Pell City, Ala., is a member of the homecoming court. She is an integrated marketing communications major on the graphic design track and a graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School. A residential assistant and Gilbert Hall director, Brasher is a member of Blue Key, Phi Eta Sigma, Lambda Pi Eta, and Order of Omega honor societies. She is also a member of Alpha Sigma Tau, where she serves as the president. She has been consistently on the Dean’s President’s and Lists.
Magan Coleman, a junior from Toxey, Ala., is a member of the homecoming court. A first-generation college student and collaborative teacher & special education major, she is a graduate of Southern Choctaw High School. Coleman serves as a Resident Assistant (RA) for Gilbert Hall and a tutor for ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú CARES. She has also been a member of the West Alabama Marching and Concert Bands, Delight Ministries, and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Rotaract and has spent time volunteering at the Choctaw County Public Library and the Coastal Alabama Community College Library in Gilbertown.
Alexis Jones, a junior from Tallassee, Alabama, is a member of the homecoming court. An integrated marketing and communications major on the graphic design track, she is a graduate of Tallassee High School. Jones is the president of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s chapter of Collegiate DECA, a member of Blue Key and Lambda Pi Eta honor societies and represented the College of Liberal Arts at the Leadership Sumter Program. She is also a Residential Assistant and serves as the Hoover Hall director. Jones has made the Dean’s List numerous times during her time at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
Julie Payne, a senior from Centreville, Alabama, is a member of the homecoming court. She is a cell and molecular biology major and a graduate of Bibb County High School. Payne is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha, where she serves as the vice president of recruitment, president of Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society, and a member of Tri Alpha, Blue Key, Tri Beta, and Order of Omega honor societies. She is also a member of the Outdoor Recreation Conservation Association and has made the Dean’s and President’s list throughout her time at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
