Dr. Cheryl Lambert, dean of the College of Education at the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, has been named an Impact Academy fellow through national non-profit organization Deans for Impact (DFI). She is one of 24 leaders announced as part of the fellowship's 11th cohort.

Dr. Vania Assis grew up in a small town in Brazil where she rode horses, tended pigs and chickens alongside her father, even helping butcher cattle when the need arose. Now an assistant professor at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, Assis is committed to studying and protecting amphibians and educating others about this endangered group of vertebrates.
